I am a highly experienced Family Law Barrister based in London including Mayfair, Covent Garden, Marylebone and working across the UK and internationally.
As a family law barrister I have over 10 years' experience in London and across the UK representing clients across all areas of family law, focusing on the financial aspects of divorce and relationship breakdown and on the arrangements for children. Family law barristers operate in a highly pressured environment; our work involves the most important aspects of our clients' lives: their children, their homes and their livelihoods. I take a sensitive and focused approach to achieving the best outcome for each of my clients, and I am proud to be a member of Resolution, the organisation for family lawyers, barristers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.

Family finance
I advise and represent clients in all areas of matrimonial finance cases related to divorce and separation (including applications under MPFA 1984), Schedule 1 Children Act applications, and in co-habitation and TOLATA cases in addition to all related enforcement proceedings. I have a lot of experience as a family law barrister in arranging the division of high net worth assets in divorce, on complex financial structures, international assets, freezing injunctions, family trusts, corporate entities and limited liability partnerships, and inherited and pre-acquired assets. I am also engaged regularly by clients in London, Zurich and Geneva, as well as across the UK and Wales, to draft pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and separation agreements.
Children law
The central focus for all parents when divorcing or separating is their children; I help my clients either in mediation or litigation to arrive at arrangements that meet the needs of their family and ensure that both parents are able to maintain a healthy and meaningful relationship with their children following divorce or separation. I also often advise and represent clients in circumstances of proposed international relocation for children, in international adoption and surrogacy arrangements, from my bases in London, Zurich & Geneva. I also advise clients in cases of child abduction and have been engaged to advise the UK FCO on issues of child abduction in foreign consulates.
Court of Protection
I regularly undertake a range of family law cases in the Court of Protection including “best interest” disputes about residential arrangements, contact and moving overseas for protected persons; as a barrister I also act and advise in deprivation of liberty cases, including applications under s21A MCA 2005 and in damages claims. I have detailed experience in representing vulnerable adults in the UK and Switzerland, or on behalf of the relatives of those individuals and also regularly undertake instructions in finance cases in the Court of Protection, including the appointment and discharge of welfare and / or property and affairs deputies.
